New Set! Video Game Mockups!

I'm so great at titles, aren't I? I made a new set on SoundCloud for all the random mockup tracks I make for games. Most are very short, and aren't even finished, because I can't be spending hours and hours on every little idea mockup I come up with, right? New set this week! Wasteland Music!

Hello friends!

All this week, I'll be uploading tracks from my new video game music set, Wastelands. As you have most likely gathered, it's the kind of music you'd hear in a post-apocalyptic game while you traverse the vast emptiness and scour demolished buildings.

String Improv #1

It's been a while, longer than I would have liked, but I made something new! It's an improv track, but it's strings instead of piano. That is to say, I put on a string patch in Logic Pro and went nuts.

It's pretty haunting.

Piano Improv #2

So I was talking to someone about how I play piano, and we got on the subject on what intervals are okay to play in the lower register, without getting too muddy. I think anything above the perfect 5th is good to go, and I was again inspired, so I recorded this. The beginning is based off of a minor 7th, in the lower register.

Still pretty mellow, but it's a little more focused and directed than the last one.

I recently came up with an idea to help me get my ideas down. I often sit down at my piano and fool around for a while, and usually come up with something pretty awesome. But, of course, I forget it once I stop playing. SO! From now on, I'm recording all of my piano noodling sessions, and I'll be uploading them to my soundcloud.
